Spending During February 2009 Visit to Tanzania
We have spent £12,500 of your donations during our February 2009 visit and this has affected so many lives by:
- Helping to provide a home and education for 48 abused, neglected and/or orphaned children
- Providing solar panels for dormitories for 44 disadvantaged teenagers at Secondary school.
- Providing text books and wages for a headmaster and English teacher for 146 disadvantaged teenagers at Secondary school.
- Providing 2 years electrical vocational training for 2 young men whose families were unable to provide Secondary education.
- Providing security gating and fencing for a teenage centre for 120 students whose families cannot afford Secondary education.
- Providing Arts & Crafts materials and a teaching fee to help sustain the teenage centre.
- Providing funds for other vocational training for 6 young people whose families cannot afford secondary education.
- Purchasing 10 goats plus associated training and feeding costs to help provide nutrition and a small income for our “Helping 100 Grandparents” project.

- Provide food and clothes for 100 families affected by HIV/AIDS in Tanzania.
- Provide maize and rice to 40 grandmothers caring for over 100 children whose crops have been ruined by floods in Zambia.
- Provide a sewing machine and materials to 20 members of a women's group to help create an income generating activity.
- Provide food, soap and clothing to 50 families supporting relatives in hospital.
