Thank You To Some Special Fundraisers
Some ways in which you have helped us in 2007:
Leeds Half Marathon
Debra Graham and Lucy Carey ran in the Leeds Half Marathon and raised £1300!! Thank you.
Sponsored Cycle Ride
Debra Graham, Kaye Tschanschek, Hayley Ellis and Krystyna Gadd cycled over 50 miles to raise £437.50 in the Pedal for Pounds sponsored cycle ride. Thank you.
City to Surf (Australia)
Jane and Patrick Amerio ran 10 miles from Sydney to Bondi Beach to raise £256.00. Thank you
Abbey Dash
Mike and Louise Akeroyd ran in this 10k race in Leeds and raised £110.00. Thank you
Ruby Wedding
Michael and Valerie Burton asked guests at their wedding anniversary celebration to give donations instead of buying gifts. They raised over £500.00!!Thank you
Margaret MacMillan Primary School
The children paid £1 and dressed in costume for an "International Day" and raised £280.10 Thank you
Howden C of E Primary
We were again invited to the Harvest Festival Assembly and £81.00 was collected in donations. Thank you
The Garden Party Summer 2007
Thank you to all of you who stayed with us on such a dreadful day to help us raise over £5000.
Waitrose Weekend
Waitrose in Otley allowed us to sell our Gift Certificates and collect donations on a busy weekend in November. We collected £562.39.

How We Spent Your Donations
Now that the visit is completed here is a reminder of how your donations have helped us to help:
- Provide a home and education for 33 abused, neglected and/or orphaned children
- Provide an education centre for over 60 disadvantaged teenagers.
- Provide school materials and teachers at a charity school for 55 secondary pupils.
- Provide food and clothes for 100 families affected by HIV/AIDS in Tanzania.
- Provide maize and rice to 40 grandmothers caring for over 100 children whose crops have been ruined by floods in Zambia.
- Provide a sewing machine and materials to 20 members of a women's group to help create an income generating activity.
- Provide food, soap and clothing to 50 families supporting relatives in hospital.
