Georgie and Nico

Georgie and Nico

Georgie and Nico were orphaned aged about 3 and 5, when their mother died in 2005 from HIV/Aids. Their fathers are unknown.

The 2 boys were taken into care at a hospice for HIV/Aids patients as it was thought they were HIV positive. In early 2007 they were both found to be HIV negative and could no longer stay at the hospice. The only relative was a drunk and destitute elderly grandfather, living in a squalid urban slum with no means of supporting the boys. With nowhere else to go, Georgie and Nico were taken to live with him.

Anza Kimaro found the 2 boys hungry, dirty and neglected by their grandfather and rejected by the local community.

As you see from the photo, the boys are now happy and thriving in the care of Living Water Children Centre. They are both doing well at school and Georgie recently received a prize for coming top of his class.

Joseph

Joseph and classmates

Joseph is a boy from the Masai tribe. He was born disabled, with both arms finishing at the elbows and one leg shorter than the other.

He was rejected by his family as he was unable to herd the cattle and goats as other boys in the tribe.

He was taken in by Living Water Children Centre in 2007 where he now lives happily in a loving, caring home. You can see Joseph here, second from right, with some of his friends at Living Water.

To help children like Georgie, Nico and Joseph, please become a "special friend" by making regular donations
